Steel Construction
Héðinn's Steel Construction Department — commonly referred to as the Plate Department — is the company’s primary production unit. It provides a wide range of fabrication and manufacturing services, working with both carbon steel and stainless steel. The department is divided into two dedicated work areas, each specialized for handling one type of material.
The Plate Department provides services to a range of industries, including fish processing, the seafood industry, heavy industry, and energy companies. The department also undertakes projects for other steel construction workshops.
Plate materials available from stock include S355, stainless steel 304 and 316, Domex 355, Hardox 450, and Hardox 500.
Sheet Metal Cutting
Héðinn's Plate Department is equipped with three cutting machines: Laser Cutting Machine, Waterjet Cutter, and Gas/Plasma Cutting Machine.These machines have all their specific advantages and characteristics that are applied based on the nature of each project. By offering these cutting options, we are able to solve most projects large or small, and thereby ensuring the high-quality service that Héðinn takes pride in delivering.

For further processing and forming of plate steel, Héðinn's Plate Department is equipped with rollers, shears, and bending machines as well as smaller tools such as welding machines, grinders, drills, and more.
