Get in touch
Contact Héðinn directly by phone, email, or through the contact page. Tell us your discipline, experience level, and what kind of work you are looking for. We review all enquiries personally.
Initial conversation
A member of the team will follow up to discuss your background, the available role or discipline area, and whether there is a current or near-term opening that fits your profile.
Technical interview
Depending on the role, you will meet with the relevant department lead or senior technician. For workshop roles, this may include a practical demonstration or a tour of the facility.
Offer and onboarding
Successful candidates receive a written offer with full terms. Onboarding is handled by the team in your discipline area. You start with clear responsibilities and the right equipment from day one.

Practical answers to the questions we hear most often from people considering a role at Héðinn.
Icelandic is the primary working language on the shop floor. For engineering and project roles, English is widely used alongside Icelandic. Candidates who are willing to develop Icelandic over time are welcome to apply, and we can discuss language expectations as part of the initial conversation.
Yes. We recruit on an ongoing basis across multiple disciplines. If you do not see a specific open role that matches your background, get in touch with a brief description of your experience and the kind of work you are looking for. We keep records of strong candidates for upcoming positions.
We hire at different levels depending on current capacity and the nature of the work. Certified tradespeople with relevant industrial experience are preferred for most workshop and service roles. For engineering and technical positions, formal qualifications and hands-on experience are both considered. Apprenticeship and junior positions are available in some areas.
We have experience hiring internationally and can advise on what is required for working in Iceland. Candidates based outside Iceland should get in touch directly. We will confirm whether there is a suitable opening and discuss the practical steps involved.
Our main facility is at Gjáhella 4, Hafnarfjörður, approximately 15 minutes from central Reykjavik. We also operate a second location at Grundartangi on the Hvalfjörður industrial estate. Most roles are based in Hafnarfjörður, with some positions supporting operations at both sites.
