Héðinn offers a full range of services in metalworking and mechanical engineering. Our industrial services division includes Steel Construction, Lath Construction, Mechanical Department and Hardox Wearparts®. These departments operate in close coordination with the rest of the company.
Steel Construction
Héðinn's Steel Construction, commonly referred to as the Plate Department — is the company's primary production unit. The department provides a wide range of service and metalworking services, using both carbon steel and stainless steel.
Lathe Construction
The Héðinn Lathe Construction is one of the company’s core departments. It is equipped with powerful machinery and staffed by a skilled team with the knowledge and experience to handle projects of all sizes. Handling custom manufacturing, services and maintenance of lathe machining.
Mechanical Department
The mechanical department serves clients both at sea and on land, working closely with the marine engineering specialists at Héðinn’s Ship Department.
Large Scale Industry
Héðinn has served Iceland’s heavy industry sector for years, providing design, custom manufacturing, maintenance of mechanical equipment, and various related services. Over the years, projects have ranged from conceptual design to fully completed machines and systems, as well as ongoing daily maintenance.
Hardox
Héðinn is the only Icelandic company in the Hardox Wearparts® service network. This certification is granted by SSAB, the manufacturer of Hardox®, to companies that meet the strictest standards in expertise, equipment, inventory, and workmanship related to the processing of Hardox®.
