The Equal Pay Certification is truly proof of this," says Rögnvaldur Einarsson, CEO of Héðinn.
About the Equal Pay Certification
According to the Act on Equal Status and Equal Rights of Women and Men, equal pay certification shall be based on the Equal Pay Standard ÍST 85:2012. By implementing this standard, companies and institutions can establish a management system that ensures that procedures and decisions regarding wages are based on objective criteria and do not involve gender-based discrimination.
“The Equal Pay Standard ÍST 85:2012 is a management standard for equal pay systems. The standard is applicable to all companies and institutions, regardless of size, activities, role, or gender ratio. It ensures professional practices that prevent both direct and indirect gender-based discrimination. A certification body assesses whether all the requirements of the standard have been met, and thereby whether the company or institution in question can be awarded equal pay certification.
