Héðinn

Recently, Vísir.is published a news story about Héðinn and the company’s 100-year history. Few companies in Iceland have a history spanning a century, and even fewer are a hundred years old while still having descendants of the founder among their shareholders.

A team from Héðinn has been busy installing new sorting equipment at Sorpa’s waste reception and sorting station in Gufunes. Sorpa’s role is to receive and process waste from the entire capital area, and its operations are therefore extensive.

On May 5th, the fisheries company Brim celebrated the arrival in Reykjavík of the newest member of its fleet, the 82-meter stern trawler Ilivileq GR 2-201. The vessel is equipped with an HPP protein factory and is fitted with Kongsberg Maritime systems and machinery. Ilivileq will be operated by Brim’s subsidiary in Qaqortoq, Greenland.
