In addition to the traditional propulsion systems, propellers and gearboxes, Kongsberg offers the Promas configuration as an add-on to the conventional system, contributing to energy savings.

Promas is based on connecting the propeller and rudder to achieve improved water flow from the propeller to the rudder. This results in reduced fuel consumption as well as improved maneuverability.
