A long partnership history behind engine and propulsion support

Héðinn has a long-standing partnership history with Rolls-Royce / Bostek and its marine businesses. MTU, a Rolls-Royce Power Systems brand, builds high-speed diesel engines, propulsion systems, and power units used in working vessels, patrol craft, and standby power. Héðinn is an authorized service provider for MTU in Iceland.

Legacy Rolls-Royce Marine equipment also remains in service across the fleet. Some of the commercial marine product lines that once carried the Rolls-Royce Marine name now sit within Kongsberg Maritime, but many vessels still operate Rolls-Royce branded engines, propulsion, and deck equipment that need parts and service support.

Héðinn provides parts, maintenance, overhaul, and technical support for both. The Ship and Machinery Department coordinates supplier communication, parts logistics, and workshop or on-site service to keep equipment available.

2
Step 2

Confirm parts and lead times

Héðinn checks stock and coordinates with MTU and Rolls-Royce supply channels to confirm parts availability and delivery.

3
Step 3

Service and overhaul

The Ship and Machinery Department carries out maintenance and overhaul in the workshop, at the quayside, or on site, depending on scope.

4
Step 4

Test and hand over

Operation is verified and documented before the equipment returns to service.
