A 10,000 m2 industrial facility built for demanding work

Héðinn's headquarters at Gjáhella 4 in Hafnarfjörður houses the company's production and engineering activity under one roof. The main building covers approximately 10,000 square meters of workshop and office space, with additional service workshop at Grundartangi and presence at Akureyri, and Norway.

We focus on excellent environment for employees with fitness gym, locker rooms, cafeteria with daily hot meals, activity room with golf simulator, darts and more.

Hafnarfjörður sits just south of Reykjavik with good road access and close proximity to Reykjavik's harbour and the main industrial corridors. The location puts Héðinn within reach of fishing fleets, energy installations, and heavy industry customers throughout the country.

Departments

Specialists across every stage of metalwork and mechanical service

The workforce at Héðinn spans a wide range of disciplines. The Plate Department handles carbon and stainless steel fabrication and is the company's primary production unit. The Lathe and Milling Department covers precision machining for components that require close tolerances. The Ship and Machinery Department carries out installation, repair, and overhaul of marine equipment and propulsion systems.

Technical Service engineers support customers across Iceland and internationally with diagnostics, service contracts, spare parts, and field assignments. The design and project teams work alongside production to take jobs from initial drawings through to installation and commissioning. Administrative, procurement, and management staff support the full operation.

Most departments are based at the Hafnarfjörður headquarters, with service staff also deployed at Grundartangi, Akureyri, and in Norway depending on customer location and project requirements.
